recruteing is a fun day.

The good news is that i am not sick today.  I was realy sick last week.  I usually dont get sick.  But when I was sick it hurt my head to think so i did not do a blog.  i did not do a radio show.  when i am that sick i remind myself most of tom hanks in Philadelphia right when everyone figures out he has Aides.

a lot of people are saying to me "Mackey tell me about recrooting".  I wish I cood.  I am hearing a lot of things.  I am hearing that we cood sign some really good players, and others are saying that some really good players cood sign at a school that is not the University of Clemson.  So lets just all sit back and take a deep breathe.  tomorrow i will post a summary of all of our signees.  i will devote one paragraph to each player.  if you pretend that tomorrow is really last tuesday, it will look like i predicted all our signers perfectly.  i hope you do that.

2 star players are pretty good.  3 star players are even better.  4 stars are the best you can get unless you are talking about.  5 stars.  i don't know about 1 star players because i usually dont see them.  if i had to guess though i wood say that a 1 star player most reminds me of billy luckie.

Folks, I have herd some storys about the game on Saturday.  I think we won, I am not sure.  I herd we played well.  Thats good because winning is good.  However, for once I dont' care about the game.

So then you say 'Mackey why dont' you care':  And I will tell you why....CJ F'ing Spiller was in town.  Not flying thru the airport.  Not playing the Falcons of Atlanta.  No, he was in town...clemson.  Close enough for me to have drugged him, put him in my trunk, and takin him home to the special CJ cell that is behind some loose cinderblocks in my basement if I had wonted to.  So if you are wandering, 'why didnt' you do that then'?;  its' simple....Rejjy Merryweather is currently in there so their is no room.  I will give an update on Rejjy in a future blog.

So hear is what I did do.  I got to Clemson early and went in a  portajahn and took care of busness using a bufflo bills media guide and some hair sampuls I had collected from the locker room drain over the yeers.  thin I did not wash my hand.  thin I went to tigerwalk....it was pretty crowded so I pushed in front of some little kids so CJ wood see me.  When he came by, I jumped in front of him and gave him a big messy high five.  I half to admit, the pepper spray and taisurs reely hurt, but it was worth it.  Because when CJ went home that day, I new he had a little bit of mackey on him.  ALL IN.

Folks, it wasn't easy getting up this mourning and it wasnt' because of the 9 Schlitz I had at Wild Wings last night.  My Tygers got killed on Saturday.  It hurts.  But it hurts diffirint.  How does it hurt diffrint you say:  I will tell you.

I wont you to close you're eyes and imagine this:  What if Clemson had won by six TD's on Saturday?  Now you may say, "Mackey, if I close my eyes how can I read the rest of the sentence?"  And I will say "OK, memorise the whole thing first, then clothes your eyes and imagine it."

Feels good doesnt' it?  Winning by 42 points always does.  If Kin Hatfield had one by 42 points, it wood have been a very calm and low key celebrashun.  But if Dabo had won by 42 points on Saturday, it would have been a huge party.  We would have been happy and drinking in the parking lots at Chaple Hill and we could have used generators in any lot we wanted since they allow generators up there.

Thats' what is diffrint people.  The up side.  We may have lost but if we had won, it wood have been awe some, and sooner or later that will happen and it will be a fun win.  If we fire Dabo now, that is what we will.  Be missing out on.  I want a coach that nose how to celebrate hard and thats what we have now.  Hang in their.

Re pre cousins.

Today I want to talk about re pre cousins, because our actions as fans have serious re pre cousins.  It is a pivot time at Clemson.  We can either support Dabo or not.  But I want you to think about the re pre cousins.

Let's say you support Dabo.  Support is good.  It means you wear orange a lot and line up early for Tyger walk and jump as high as you can during zombie nashun.  How could this hurt our team?  It couldnt'.  Best case we keep playing level and play the ducks of oregon in a bowl game.  Which would be good.  What is the worst case?  We loose and you blow out an ACL jumping to zombie nashun but you still support the Tygers.

Now lets' look at not being all in.  Lets' say you wear navie blue to games and dont' listen to the tailgait show and use a generator in lots where they arent' allowed.  If the teem wins and plays the ducks of oregon, you will not enjoy it as much as someone who jumped high to zombie nashun.  If the teem looses, you will have been right, but you still will have had no fun irregardless.

I know which side I am on but when you look at your re fleck sun in the mirror today, I hope you ask "which side am I on"?

It's a Knew Day

I am not going to lie.  The loss to the Hurricanes of miami hurt.  And no one likes moral victories per say.  However I watched practice yesterday and things are differint.  Under passed coaches after a loss the coaches would yell at the players and their heads wood be down.  Today tho the coaches were yelling at the players and their heads were level with the whore eye son.  They were not up.  They were not down.  They were level.

When I think of Jim Tressel I think "level".  Dabo has this team level.  Wood we beat Ohio State?  I don't know.  We wood have to play them.  I don't think we wood play them because they are not on are schedule this year.  But we wood play them level.

That's all we can ask four.  On Saturday, I will bring a level with me to the Tarheels of UNC game to show my support.  You can bring your levels two.  It could be a long level like a contractor wood own.  It could be a short level like you wood use to hang a picture.  As long as it is a level.  You can bring it.
